How good is Nvidia Geforce GTX 960m for Gaming?
The 960M is a low-midrange GPU from the last generation that can barely run the new games at medium settings (playable, not butter smooth). If you want to play (almost) all games at medium or higher settings at a smooth 60 frames per second, get at least a 1050, which is sold in the same price range.
The 960m GPU is a handheld GPU. So, unless you purchase a newer laptop, you can’t update it. It won’t be able to compete with a desktop 960, but it will suffice; don’t expect it to run the most recent games at maximum settings.
There are also other variables to consider, such as the processor, RAM, and so on. But with my current specs, I find it to run very well in games like GTAV and COD BO3. It also works very well in CS:GO, with fps ranging from 130 to 150, indicating that there is promise.
